A Good Day in Paris

There are, admittedly, many different ways to have a good day in Paris. But at this point in time and space for Lolly and me, these were the right ingredients:

1. Wi-Fi!!!!! Sweet, speedy, wireless broadband. Clearly a gift from God above.

2. Two lovely salads.

3. A stunning Vlaminck show at the Luxembourg Museum:

4. A walk along the Seine:

5. Art gallery window shopping in Saint Germain de Pres

Had a nice couple of days in the Bay Area myself, as it turns out.

Oh man - sorry I missed you. Another boondoggle with the sustainable energy crowd?

A solar conference at the Moscone, actually. We're growing up as an industry.

Wifi in Paris?

No, no, that's not possible -- it must somehow violate local Works Council labor rules.

I think instead of using the Internet, you're supposed to pay three guys to carry around messages on little slips of paper.

Thirty-hours a week, except on holidays and weekends.

And not during the month of August, when Paris is closed.

Don't make me come over there.

Parisians don't come over here.

We go over there.

Usually to bail them out of the latest mess they've gotten themselves into.

S'okay though -- they backed our play when we threw off the colonial yoke of the Limeys, they gave us a cool statue, and we like the food. So we're good.

I'm still gonna make fun of them though.
